Build Your Own Art World
“You don’t need permission to enter the art world. It’s about realising you make your own.”
Most artists say they don’t know anyone in the art world. Then they start listing names.
Over seven lessons you’ll map the five rings around your work: the people you already know, your community, the places that suit your work, the platforms and voices where your people are, and the opportunities worth your time. You’ll finish with a map of your own art world to print and frame, and a handful of people to get in touch with this week.
Then it keeps growing. Every Monday, your companion checks in: how much you made, how much went on the business side, who you got in touch with. It shows how each ring has grown since last week, and sets three small things to do. Making the work always comes first.
